MP RECHARGE Automating a deposit and withdrawal business that ran on WhatsApp

The context

MP RECHARGE is a platform built to handle deposit and withdrawal operations for users of a sports betting service.

At the start, much of the work was done manually over WhatsApp. Requests came in one by one and had to be handled by the manager, which became hard to sustain as the number of users grew.

The goal was clear: turn this manual process into a platform able to handle operations far more autonomously.

The problem

The manual setup created several constraints:

  • handling requests one by one
  • tracking transactions manually
  • managing withdrawals
  • keeping users informed about the status of their operations
  • keeping a clear overview of the activity
  • growing the service without growing the workload at the same rate

The real challenge was not simply to build a mobile app, but to cut manual intervention in the transaction process as much as possible.

The technical challenges

  • Automating deposit and withdrawal operations
  • Integrating several payment providers
  • Handling the different states of a transaction
  • Building an admin-side tracking system
  • Letting users recover their account information and follow their operations
  • Making the service accessible on different types of devices
  • Generating transaction exports to track the activity

The solution

I built a platform made of a web/mobile app and a Node.js backend that centralizes users, transactions and financial operations.

For payments, I integrated the FeexPay and FedaPay APIs so operations could be handled from the platform.

V2 then added several important features: withdrawal management, an admin dashboard, notifications, account recovery, detailed transaction tracking and exports.

Accessibility was also taken into account. The web platform could be installed as a PWA, and a native Android app was also available for users who preferred that route.

An evolution driven by real-world use

The project evolved after the first launch.

After a working first version, the client came back for a V2 with bigger needs. This led me to work not only on new features, but also on the reliability of the transaction workflow and on the experience of the different types of users.

It was this gradual evolution that turned the first MVP into a more complete platform.

The results

More than 250 active users reached on the platform
The client came back for a second version after the initial launch
A large share of operations processing was automated
Administration has a centralized view of transactions
Transactions can be exported to make tracking easier
The platform is accessible on the web, installable as a PWA, with an Android version

What this project taught me

A transactional system is not just about connecting a payment API. You also have to think about the different states of an operation, possible errors, administrative tracking and the user's experience.

That way of thinking guided the evolution of MP RECHARGE from its first version to V2.

Working with Yaji NONFON was an excellent experience from start to finish. He built the entire Mp Recharge platform, a robust and fully functional solution that now serves more than 100 active users. Throughout the project, he showed strong technical skills, met every deadline and kept communication clear and professional.
