A developer who turns ideas into products that work and look great doing it

I'm Yaji NONFON, a freelance backend developer specializing in building secure REST APIs and complete web applications. My core strength is everything that makes your product reliable, secure, and scalable. But I also deliver clean frontends when the project calls for it.
My journey started at Accra Institute of Technology (GHANA) where I studied Computer Science and built a strong foundation in software development. Accra Institute of Technology (AIT), During my studies, I participated in a training program at Techten Planet Ghana, which allowed me to strengthen my skills in Node.js, Express.js, and REST API development.
From there, I went freelance and started delivering real projects. I built Mp Recharge, a mobile-first financial platform with African Mobile Money integration and 100+ active users in production. Then a complete billing SaaS that I use myself every day to manage my own freelance clients.
Every project I deliver is treated like a real product: deadlines respected, clean code, clear communication.
What drives me is simple: using technology to solve real problems and building things that people actually use.
Outside of coding, I'm always learning something new, experimenting with ideas, or building tools that make life a little easier. Growth matters to me both as a developer and as a person.
I'm currently open to freelance work, new missions, and any opportunity to bring ideas to life through code.
Delivered real web projects for clients. Built Mp Recharge — a mobile-first financial platform with FeeXPay integration (MTN MoMo, Moov) and 100+ active users in production. Developed a full corporate website for Digami Benin. Built a complete billing SaaS — quotes, contracts, invoices, payments and receipts with audit logs and Swagger documentation deployed on Render.
Worked on backend development using Node.js and Express.js, built and consumed RESTful APIs for real-world business cases, gained experience in server-side logic, database interaction, and API structure, collaborated with the tech team to debug, test, and improve core functionalities, learned professional coding practices, version control (Git), and deployment basics.
